Farmer Pesticide Certification Course

Farmers who wish to use restricted pesticides are required to have a Farmer Pesticide Certificate as well as related endorsements for certain applications including exterior rodent control and stored grain fumigation. This certification is only obtained through a certified trainer and Agricultural Service Board examination.
Kneehill County Agriculture Services is offering the Farmer Pesticide Certification course and exams to Kneehill County farmers on February 9, 2022 in Three Hills. The day will include a full review of the provincial training modules followed by the core certification, "Pest Control in Stored Grain" and "Exterior Rodent Management" endorsement exams. A printed copy of the course modules will be provided but participants are advised to review the materials ahead of time and can find them online at alberta.ca.
Check-in will open at 8:00 am at the Centennial Place Arena, upstairs in the Encana Room and the day will go until 4:30 pm. Lunch and break refreshments will be provided in individualized packaging. A registration fee of $35 per person is being charged to cover the event costs.
Provincial restriction exemptions apply to all events through this facility therefore proof of vaccination or a negative Covid test result from within 72 hours of the course start are MANDATORY and will be checked at registration. Masks are required to be worn.
