Community Futures Wild Rose and Town of Three Hills and Kneehill County form a partnership to provide supports for rural businesses.
STRATHMORE AB – October 31, 2021 Community Futures Wild Rose (CFWR), the Town of Three Hills and Kneehill County have entered into a partnership to provide businesses with business improvement supports through the Community Business Investment Partnership (CBIP).
The Community Business Investment Partnership (CBIP) is a collaborative business improvement initiative with CFWR shareholder municipalities. The Town of Three Hills and Kneehill County will provide businesses with an interest reimbursement on loans of up to $10,000 to improve the interior/exterior of their business, purchase equipment to increase growth or modernization, to upgrade technology to remain competitive or improve efficiencies and to improvement their office space.

Mike Haugen, CAO for Kneehill County states, “Kneehill County values the contribution that small businesses make to our community and we know that the last few years have been tough. The CBIP program provides the County with an important opportunity to invest back into our existing business community and we are excited to help foster business growth into the future”.
Community Futures Wild Rose will work collaboratively with the Town of Three Hills and Kneehill County to ensure projects meet the requirements set forth in the program guidelines and provide access to the capital for businesses to participate in the CBIP program. Upon confirmation of project acceptance, CFWR will disperse the loan to the business. Loans will be dispersed at 5% interest that is reimbursed by the municipality to the business after the term of the balance of the loan is paid. Loans can be amortized over a three-year term with a maximum eligible amount of $10,000.

The program is available for Town of Three Hills businesses to apply until March 2023 and Kneehill County by October 2023. Applications can be found at:
