Kneehill County, June 7, 2022 - Kneehill County Council announces two Ratepayer Evenings in June of 2022.
Previously known as Kneehill County’s “Discovery Fair,” the events have been renamed to avoid confusion with Kneehill Regional FCSS’ “Discovery Nights.”
Though the name has changed, Kneehill County landowners and rural residents can expect the same layout, format, and in-depth information provided when the events were held in 2019. (Due to the COVID pandemic and restrictions in place, the events planned for 2020 and 2021 were cancelled.)
“Council is thrilled to be hosting Ratepayer Evenings again.” Said Kneehill County Reeve, Jerry Wittstock. “These events are a great way for residents to get engaged and learn about all things Kneehill County.”
Set up like a trade fair, the Ratepayer Evening features booths of information dedicated to each Kneehill County department, including Council, Communications, Planning & Development, Ag Services & Parks, Water, Recycling, Peace Officers and Fire, Finance, Social Services, Roads and more.
“We invite you to come out, enjoy some supper, meet Council and Staff, ask questions, give feedback, and learn how the County operates. We’ve got beef-on-a-bun, door prizes, and kid’s activities.” Said Wittstock. “It’s going to be a great evening.”
Kneehill County Ratepayer Evenings are from 4 to 7 pm, Wednesday, June 15, at the Carbon Community Centre, and Wednesday, June 22, at the Torrington Ron Gorr Memorial Arena.
