Business Retention Survey

News Release

NEWS RELEASE

Kneehill County launches survey to establish business priorities.

August 21, 2023 – Kneehill County has officially launched a new Business Retention & Expansion (BR + E) survey. The County wants to better understand the future plans and needs of local businesses and how business owners/managers view the community as a place to do business. The information from the survey will be used to plan future economic development activities focused on the top priorities of local businesses.

Kneehill County has retained consultant Tara Zeller who is working with Deloitte, an economic development consulting firm to assist with the project. The project team will be working with County staff to review the completed surveys for challenges and opportunities that the local business community is facing. Since selection is random, businesses may be contacted between August 28th and September 22nd by phone or email. We highly encourage all businesses to participate in their preferred format. The survey should take no longer than 15 minutes to complete. If you are a business in Kneehill County not listed in our Business Directory and would like to participate in the survey, please email tarajzeller@gmail.com.

“A Business Retention and Expansion Survey is a strategy to support and keep existing businesses within our region. At Kneehill County we are committed to connecting with our local businesses to identify opportunities and actions to assist them with the resources that will potentially improve their competitive position as well as their profitability and encourage them to grow.” Kevin Gannon, Director of Community Services

The project launched in July 2023 and is scheduled to last until September 2023 when all the results of the survey are gathered and analyzed.
